The Small Farm Conference will again be held at Waterfront Place in Morgantown, WV. This gathering of stakeholders in the future of local food and sustainable farming offers many types of trainings, production information and updates, and the opportunity to network and gather new ideas. Winter Blues Farmers Market and Local Food Dine-Around will be held Thursday evening.

Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2

Friday and Saturday will be set up in hour-long workshops to maximize the variety and options of attendees. Classes begin at 8:30am, with a 15 minute break after each hour-long session.

Friday evening will offer a Local Food Banquet and Celebration with a keynote speaker. Friday’s registration includes the price of the banquet. Additional tickets are $20 each and must be reserved by Friday morning, by calling (304) 293-2715.

Be sure to plan to attend the “Winter Blues Farmers Market” hosted by the WV Farmers Market Association. Last year’s market grossed $18,850 for the participating vendors during the three hour market.
